81 DiggsThe Houston Astros are this close to being sold, as Drayton McLane is set to sell the franchise to Jim Crane for $660 million, pending league approval. (And, yes, that's the same Jim Crane who tried to buy the Texas Rangers out of bankruptcy last year.) The deal's expected to be done in a matter of weeks -- no later than November's end, according to most accounts. And, per the account on the Astros' website on Monday night, "MLB reportedly has asked Crane to agree to move the Astros to the American League if he is approved." 10 DiggsThe Athletics starting pitcher is really liking his new role after coming in from the Pen and has promptly put together a 6-1 mark and an ERA of 2.43. He does not mind throwing on the road with even better efforts than at home with an ERA of 1.89. Certainly Houston's Jennings is no slouch but run support has been a problem from him. Read story

26 DiggsJust shy of her 90th birthday, Sister Damian Kuhn was the "number 1 fan" of the ballclub. She thought it was unbecoming for a nun to shout, so she never jeered or heckled, but always clapped as loud as she could. Through good times and bad, she never lost her faith in the Astros and hardly ever missed a home game. Today, the team mourns her death. Read story
